Celebrating the life of a wonderful bestfriend.......my
frisbee, ball, stick crazy cattle dog passed away peacefully
here at home in the SlateRiver Valley after a brief illness.
Snap is one of the foundation bitch's of our bloodlines. Her
charisma and loving temperament lives on forever in her great,
great, great grandchildren. She was my fishing , hiking,
biking, traveling partner, a wonderful ambassador for the
breed where ever our ventures took us.

Her clever grin, and loving brown eye's will forever be in our
memories. "Happy Snappy", she was always called that when she'd come at
a slow gallop, slightly side winding towards me with a sneaky
grin, and tail animated like a propeller ......She'd come up
for a quick pat, then off to find something for me to throw.
Snap's eagerness to please and loyalty went far beyond any
regular dog, she was a true ACD, the long lasting loyalty only
a special cattle dog could have. And it is those special one's
that a human rarely encounters more than once in a lifetime.
I have been truly blessed, I have had 2. "Dixie" my 23 yr. Old
dachshund who passed away in March of 2001, and Snap my
13 1/2 yr. old ACD. Both exceeded there duty's of being my
best friends. There are no words to describe how they contributed to my
life I suppose some people would say my life must feel so empty
with out them, but the truth is the exact opposite. My life is
full of the most wonderful memories, pictures and endless videotape.......
when I look back on it all, I realize I would not be the person I am today of it wasn't for their love.
Here's to Snap and Dixie, my very special friends.
Life is Eternal, Love is Immortal.
Our heart felt special thank you goes out to Snap's breeder,
Mary Weiland, with out Mary I would not have been blessed with
such a wonderful dog. Mary met my parents back in 1988 at the
Oklahoma ACD specialty.......from there the arrangements were
made to send me a red ACD pup for my 8th birthday. Mary, ...........On behalf of my parents and I,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for entrusting us with Snap, truly special, once in a
lifetime friend. She excelled in obedience, herding, conformation and was 100% loyal companion.
Snap was
the cornerstone of our ACD family....we are so very grateful
to have had her in our lives.
Always by our side, Forever in our hearts.
