Our greenspace
We have many planted apple trees on our property along with wild strawberries, blueberries, crab apples,rowan berries, high bush
cranberries, pin cherries, chock cherries and saskatoon berries.
Along with countless wild herbs which we gather & use for their healing properties. Everything from herbal teas  to poultices.

We enjoy our country lifestyle very much - and have plenty of green space in which we spend a great deal of time grooming every summer. Plenty of
room to walk the dogs on leash - and also a off leash dog park.  We have private walking trails in our forest at the back of our property. We enjoy our  
spacious private land.

We are open all year round for long or short stays

Set in the Beautiful Slate River Valley on 10 acres of fields, gardens and wooded nature
trails bordered by a creek and ponds, this natural and tranquil retreat makes your pet's stay
with us enjoyable and less stressful.

  • With a holistic emphasis on cleanliness and safety, we also understand each pets
    emotional need for human contact to alleviate separation anxiety while away from
    their family.

  • As holistic health professionals we accept dogs with titer tests.  

  • Geriatric Care & Special Handling (priced at our discretion)
This is a service for those pets who may need special attention over and above the normal
care, such as extra pads, help getting up, and more controlled environment etc..


  • We are also able to administer medications if required.

  • We have no problem feeding your specialized diets ie. raw diets, as long as you provide
    them in frozen individual containers.

  • Security for your added peace of mind.
  • We live here on the property, and there is also a house to kennel intercom servalence
    system
  • our pets are monitored 24 hours a day.

  • We also massage brush your dog each evening, which is your pets opportunity for
    human contact ( free of charge), this also de-stresses your pet.

  • We leash walk your dog daily (free of charge)
  • They have large (16 ft long) individual covered outdoor runs.
  • Each pet is allowed loose in our fully fenced / secure 10,000 sq.ft. off leash dog park.
  • Here they can enjoy a good game of fetch - and really stretch their legs!!
  • Indoor individual kennels are spacious, clean!!!

  • All have NEW  ceramic flooring.
  • Comforting music.

  • Kennels are Air conditioned in summer.

  • Daily high pressure washes are performed on the outside runs.

  • Nontoxic detergents and disinfectants (same disinfectant as used in
    Veterinary hospitals) are used liberally, for additional protection indoor and
    out.
Yappie hour
  • Dog movies are on the TV sets from 5-8pm
  • Homemade yogurt snacks are given at this time

WE BOARD DOGS AND CATS -
Cat's are treated with tender loving care and plenty of
human interaction.
  • They have their own private quarters in the office soothed by
    classical music, cat videos and again, plenty of human
    interaction for entertainment and affection
• Meals served twice a day and litter boxes changed a minimum of
twice daily at each feeding.
  • Our cat condos are custom made and provide the maximum in
    health, privacy and protection.

Articles brought in with pets- must be washable in hot water and cleansers. As large cedar
beds are very difficult for us to clean, we discourage you from bringing them. We provide
comfy bedding such as blankets to cover the floor. Items welcome here include toys, towels,
smaller blankets, as these items carry your homes scents and add to you pets comfort, while
they are here.
-Reddenblu will not be responsible for items lost or destroyed.

-For dogs who have never been boarded before we offer a trail period to assess their
suitability for kenneling. Naturally  a well-socialized dog ,  who is relaxed about boarding is
more likely to board well.

-You should understand the possible effects of stress on a dog  and not be shocked if,  while
your dog is boarding, he develops kennel cough, or occasionally, intestinal problems. You
should be aware that some dogs carry viruses in their systems for months and begin to show
symptoms only after being subjected to stress..(regardless how much we do to help them
adjust,) In other words they can catch a disease from themselves. They put on a few pounds,
others may lose some weight. Kennel life can be exciting, and some dogs lose weight because
the are not eating enough or they are running it off, as they run around barking at other
dogs and just  having a wonderful time socializing.
